These terms govern use of the hosted Document Lake service operated by Juno AI Labs, Inc.. By creating an account you agree to them. The underlying software is open source under AGPL-3.0 — self-hosting is governed by that license, not these terms.
The service
Document Lake stores corporate documents you upload, organizes them automatically, and provides search and AI-assisted answers over them, including through an MCP interface for external agents you authorize.
Your account and content
- You are responsible for activity under your account and for the members you invite.
- Your documents remain yours. You grant us only the rights needed to operate the service (store, encrypt, index, process with the AI providers you invoke). We claim no ownership and do not train models on your content.
- You confirm you have the right to upload what you upload. Don’t use the service for unlawful content or to violate others’ rights.
AI outputs
AI-generated answers can be wrong or incomplete, even when citations are provided. Outputs are provided for convenience and are not legal, tax, or investment advice. Verify against the cited source documents before relying on an answer.
Billing
AI usage is billed against prepaid credits at our published markup over provider cost (currently provider cost × 1.3). New workspaces receive a one-time promotional credit. Credits are not redeemable for cash; unused promotional credits may expire. When credits are exhausted, AI features pause — your documents remain accessible. Payments are processed by Stripe.
Availability and changes
The service is provided “as is” without warranty. We may modify features with notice for material changes. You can export your documents and delete your workspace at any time; deletion is permanent (crypto-shredded).
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and neither party is liable for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practicable. On termination we delete workspace content as described in the privacy policy.
